Ingolstadt, 4 March 2015. No other Audi model is closer to motorsport, none is sharper or more dynamic. At the Geneva International Motor Show, the Ingolstadt manufacturer presents the second generation of the high-performance Audi R8 supercar. The centrally mounted V10 engine and newly developed quattro drivetrain deliver breathtaking performance, particularly in the top version producing 449 kW (610 HP), which accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 330 km/h.
A high-revving, centrally mounted high-output engine, a consistent lightweight construction concept, a dynamic chassis with quattro drive and variable torque distribution make the R8 the tip of Audi's sporting arrow. The high-performance sports car has been substantially redesigned from the ground up. Both on track and in everyday traffic, it is now even tauter, sharper and more captivating.
